FIBA U18 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers 2024. The World No. 25 Gilas Pilipinas Boys U18 (3-0) dominated the World No. 73 Indonesia (2-1), 87-64, to sweep the FIBA U18 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [VIDEO].
Andy Gemao led Gilas anew, just 2 assists shy of a triple-double, with 29 points on 11-of-24 shooting, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, along with 12 rebounds and 8 assists in 27 minutes of play. Wilhelm Lawrence Cabonilas was one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Both the Philippines and Indonesia have already qualified for the 2024 FIBA U18 Asia Cup, scheduled from September 2 to 9 in Amman, Jordan.
