Korean Basketball League (KBL) 2021–22 runner-up Anyang KGC (2-0) blasts the PBA Philippine Cup 2022 champion San Miguel Beermen (0-2), 142-87 in the fourth day of the 2023 EASL Champions Week on Saturday, March 4 at the Okinawa Arena in Okinawa City, Japan. [Full EASL Schedule]
Omari Spellman led Anyang with a huge double-double performance of 53 points on 18-of-30 shooting from the field including 12-of-22 from beyond the arc and 5-of-6 from the line along with 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. KGC's Asian import Rhenz Mamuyac Abando had another solid game of 22 points (9/15fg, 6/7 2pts, 3/8 3pts, 1/2ft) to go with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in 21 minutes of play.
Byeon Junhyeong added 18 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists and a steal. KGC's second import Darryl Monroe had a triple-double of 15 points (7/8fg), 17 rebounds, 14 assists and 1 steal.
SMB import Cameron Clark paced the Beermen in the losing effort with 35 points (14/21fg, 7/7ft), 10 rebounds and 2 assists while CJ Perez, the only local player to finish in double figures, finished with 26 points (9/19fg, 1/5 3pts, 7/8ft) to go with 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.
