Hot-shooting Adelaide 36ers of Australia's NBL defeated NBA's Phoenix Suns, 134-124 in NBA Pre-Season game on Monday, October 3 (PHL time) at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Adelaide finished 24-of-43 from three-point range as Craig Randall II led the 36ers with a huge game of 35 points (9/17 3pts).
Kai Sotto finished with 11 points (3/6fg, 1/2 3pts, 4/4ft) along with 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in 18 minutes of play.
As per ESPN's Kevin Pelton, the Adelaide 36ers are the first non-NBA team to win a preseason game in the U.S. since Fenerbahce beat Brooklyn in October 2015. Adelaide is also apparently the first team based outside of Europe to win a preseason game against an NBA team in the period tracked by @nbastats (back to the 2005-06 preseason).
Adelaide 36ers will face the Oklahoma City Thunder led by Aussie guard Josh Giddey on Friday.
