Malaysia women U18 national team escapes past Gilas Pilipinas Women Youth U18, 66-65 in overtime in the semifinal game of the 2022 FIBA U18 Women's Asian Championship (Division B) on Saturday, September 10 at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bangalore, India.
PHL shot 23/77 (29%) from the field, including 12-of-40 shooting from beyond the arc (MAL - 21/75 fg, 7/32 3pts), and Gilas went 7-of-10 from the free throw line (MAL - 17/30ft). Gilas had 18 turnovers while Malaysia had 14. PHL recorded more steals (13-8). Malaysia outrebounded the Philippines, 61-56 and had more assists, 19-16.
