Gilas Pilipinas (1-1) finally broke through in the win column at the 2021 King Abdullah Cup by beating Saudi Arabia (0-2), 77-62 in their second game of the tournament on Tuesday at Prince Hamzah Hall in Amman Jordan
Justine Baltazar led Gilas with a perfect game and scored 16 points on 5-for-5 shooting (1/1 2pt, 4/4 3pts, 2-2 ft) along with 4 assists and 3 rebounds in 16 minutes of play. Naturalized big man Angelo Kouame finished with 10 points (5/7 fg), 6 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist while Isaac Go added 10 points (4/11 fg, 2/8 3pts) 3 rebounds, and 1 steal.
The Philippines shot 41 percent from the field (27/65 FG) and 12-of-28 shooting from downtown and went 11-of-14 from the free throw line.
