Alab Pilipinas (under the corporate name Pilipinas Basketball Club, Inc. or PBCI) is a Filipino basketball team currently playing in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) as San Miguel Alab Pilipinas under the sponsorship of San Miguel Corporation. The team is owned and managed by the sports talent management firm, Virtual Playground, headed by talent agents Dondon Monteverde and Charlie Dy. ABL ANNOUNCEMENT:
(March 13, 2020) ABL SUSPENDS 2019-2020 SEASON INDEFINITELY. The ASEAN Basketball League announces that it is indefinitely suspending competitions due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in the region. With the World Health Organization declaring COVID-19 as a global pandemic, the ABL, with the unanimous support of all its member teams, sees no other recourse but to halt competitions in its ongoing tenth season.March 8, 2020 (Sunday) OCBC Arena
