Argentina recorded the fourth straight win at the World Championship. The Latin American side held off Jordan for 4-0 record on top of Group A.
Jordan suffered the fourth straight defeat and lost their chances to stay in the title race. But the Asian team gave all Argentina could handle before losing at the end.
It was a good start for Argentina. They quickly established a 15:4 lead. Carlos Delfino hit a three-pointer as Argentina accumulated an 18:6 advantage midway through the term. Argentina scored eagerly as they posted a 35:19 advantage at the first intermission. Gutierrez and Paolo Quinteros hit from beyond the arc early in the second quarter as the margin grew at 17-point mark 41:24.
Soon Paolo Quinteros drained another triple as Argentina accumulated a 20-point lead 46:26. But Jordan capped the half on an 11:3 rally to trim the distance at 12-point mark 37:49. Rasheim Wright and Idais began the second half with three trifectas in a row as Jordan got as close as three points 46:49.

Luis Scola calmed things down with four points. Argentina quickly retained a 10-point advantage but Idais and Rasheim Wright came up for Jordan again and narrowed the deficit at 6-point mark with one quarter to go.
Back-to-back triples from Carlos Delfino and Gutierrez restored a 10-point buffer for the Latin American team early in the final frame. However Rasheim Wright and Zaid Abbaas pulled Jordan within four once again. Jordan trailed by just five points with 50 seconds remaining when Pablo Prigioni converted four free throws and sealed the winning outcome for Argentina.
Luis Scola stepped up with 30 points and 13 boards in the win. Carlos Delfino finished with 18 points, while Paolo Quinteros had 11 for Argentina. Rasheim Wright replied with 22 points for Jordan. Zaid Abbaas had 17 points and 10 rebounds in the losing case.
