Taking a page from Oscar De la Hoya's "bad oysters" excuse... Joshua Clottey has blamed his lack-luster performance against Manny Pacquiao on none other than... diarrhea from a stew concoction he consumed after the weigh-in and prior to his bout on Saturday night.
Unbelievable... seriously my friends... it blows my mind as to how many excuses this f*cking guy can come up with.
Here is the link to the audio file in which Clottey goes into detail about the situation:

He states:
"When I eat after the weigh-in, I was running (shitting water), I went to the toilet up until midnight 4 times. In the morning I was running (shitting more stew) like three times. When I went to the dressing room like, I went another three times. When I'm sitting there waiting to go to the ring... I went more and more."
"I couldn't do nothing because my body is weak and I'm trying to push myself."
Amazing... simply amazing.
It's quite amusing that a fighter who obviously dehydrates himself to make the welterweight limit blames his case of the "sh*ts" on some Banku and Okro stew.
One of the side effects of severe dehydration is diarrhea for those of you that don't know.
It's even more pronounced when a person's digestive system has to take an extended break leading up to a weigh-in not only to be infused with this type of food.
I'm going to make me some Okro stew this week and if it doesn't give me a case of the sh*ts, I'm calling Clottey's excuse as bullsh*t.

via http://news.myjoyonline.comJoshua Clottey has partly blamed his defeat to Manny Pacquiao in the WBO welter weight bout on a meal he ate hours before the bout.
Clottey was less than impressive on the night and was hugely overwhelmed by the Philippine who was devastating with his punches from start to finish.
The Ghanaian boxer shortly after his defeat apologized to Ghanaians for failing to dethrone the undisputed welter weight champion but appears to have diagnosed the reason for his defeat.
Speaking to Joy News, the 32 year old Ghanaian boxer said he was not in the right frame of mind after suffering multiple stomach upsets and diarrhea prior to the bout.
He suspected an ingredient used in preparing local Ghanaian dish- Banku and Okro stew he ordered to be prepared for him to eat as possible cause for the diarrhea.
“When I ate after the weighing I was ‘running’; the midnight I went to toilet almost like four times; in the morning I went to toilet almost like three times; when we went to the dressing room I went to toilet like three times,” he explained.
He said the heavy dose of diarrhea weakened him ahead of the bout and that partly contributed to his defeat.
He has promised to make a swift comeback to glory.

what a lame excuses,,,
Pacquiao was simply too fast and too unpredictable!!!
what? damn.. what a lame excuse, you shouldnt said that, what is wrong with these people..
what's excuses, the real score is too much speed and great stamina of pacquiao 'til 12 rounds. clottey can't counter because if he leave open his face,I doubt can survive to 6 rounds. Manny is gifted, nobody can stop him in welterweight div.
Excuses, excuses. Accept the fact that Pacman was too good.
napatae siya sa TAKOT! yun lang yun! sinong linoloko mo!
no one is going to watch your fight anymore...
For each defeat, there's always INVALID reasons...
