LAS VEGAS, Nevada - The most anticipated “fight of the millennium” between two of the worlds best pound-for-pound boxing greats is finally going to happen as both fighters agreed to the terms.

But the venue for this fight is becoming a battle of its own as both teams have to agree on a venue.

Two days ago, Top Rank Chief Executive Officer Bob Arum was scheduled to leave for Dallas regarding the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, but Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaeffer cancelled that trip.

Sources said that Mayweather did not want an outdoor stadium, even though Arum thought that turning down the Cowboys stadium for being an outdoor stadium was not a valid reason since the roof of the cowboy stadium is retractable.

Now, after the falling out of the Dallas stadium, there are three venues in consideration: The MGM Grand; the Super Dome in New Orleans, Louisiana; Staples Center in Los Angeles; and, a temporary 30,000-seat arena on the lot of where the old frontier used to be across from the Wynn and Encore Casinos on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Top Rank Promotions Lee Samuels said that they have two weeks to decide and agree on a venue. They plan to hold a press conference on January 6th, and then Pacquiao goes back home to start his training.

Pacquiao reportedly prefers the fight to be in Las Vegas as he considers the place his lucky charm.

Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao will be celebrating his 31st birthday on December 17 in General Santos City.
