In the exciting 40-minute match, the Thailand Tigers turned up the heat and shocked the Singapore Slingers by taking the match 65 – 62. This is the Slinger’s second home loss, previously losing to KL Dragons on 22 November.

In the first quarter, Singapore Slingers sent in Michael Wong, Al Vergara, Marcus Ng, Kyle Jeffers and Michael LeBlanc to go up against Thailand Tigers Attaporn Lertmalaiporn, Ikenna Nwankwo, Piyapong Piroon, Axel Doruelo and Chaz Briggs.

Singapore Slingers Kyle Jeffers won the jumpball against Thailand Tigers Chaz Briggs, and Singapore Slingers took the first quarter with a 6-point lead, ending it 22 – 16 against the Thailand Tigers.

The Thailand Tigers made a surprise comeback in the second quarter, turning the tables on the Singapore Slingers and taking a 9-point lead, ending the quarter 38 – 29 against Singapore Slingers. The Thailand Tigers continued their winning form in the third quarter, maintaining the 9-point lead against the Slingers, ending 48 – 39 against the Slingers.

In the fourth quarter, the Slingers attempted to take back the match and nerves started to eat away at the Thailand Tigers, but the Tigers managed to keep it together and win the match. The Singapore Slingers were not playing well today, missing a lot of opportunities to take back the match, making only 7 of their 17 free throws and 22% of their 3-pointers.

Thailand Tigers Ratdech Kruatiwa was the top scorer with 15 personal points, followed by Attaporn Lertmalaiporn with 13 points. Ikenna Nwankwo lead the team with 10 rebounds. Singapore Slingers Michael LeBlanc maintained his position as top scorer with 23 personal points, followed by Desmond Oh with a distant 9 personal points. Kyle Jeffers lead with 16 rebounds.

This win pushes the Thailand Tigers to fourth place in the Standings Table and Singapore Slingers maintain their position in second place behind the Philippine Patriots.
