The Brunei Barracudas and Singapore Slingers met for the second time, this time at the Brunei Indoor Stadium.
Brunei Barracudas started the match with mostly imports - Leonidaz Avenido, Lonnis Jones, Michael Pilgrim, Francis Adriano and local player Esmond Tan. Singapore Slingers wasted no time fielding their star player Al Vergara, along with Michael LeBlanc, Kyle Jeffers, Marcus Ng and Desmond Oh.

Lonnie Jones won the jumpball for Barracudas and that was a great start to the first period which they won 25 – 22, a lead which was maintained thru half time. In the third period, Singapore Slingers roared back to life taking the lead 62 – 59 at the end of the 3rd period.
The closely fought game saw Singapore Slingers win the match 82 – 80.

Leonidaz Avenido lead the Brunei Barracudas with 20 personal points, Lonnie Jones with 17 points and Michael Pilgrim with a close 16 points but it was not enough to match Singapore Slingers’ Michael LeBlanc who was very much in form with 32 personal points. Team mates Kyle Jeffers and Al Vergara scored 17 points and 15 points respectively.
This is the second time the Singapore Slingers have defeated the Brunei Barracudas, their previous meet at the Singapore Indoor Stadium ended 87 – 69.
